Water electrolysis splits water into hydrogen (H2) gas and oxygen (O2) gas. Turning water into H2, which is a fuel, is a valuable way to turn electrical energy into chemical energy.
Water electrolysis is also a great way to store energy because the times and places we make electricity often don’t match the times and places we use energy.
WeNeW is going to focus on adding the H2 to the syngas to make more fuel, but hopefully we can help build up infrastructure for a hydrogen energy economy.
