Sustainable power is electricity produced from renewable energy resources, such as the sun and wind. Solar panels and wind turbines can harvest about 10 times more energy per acre than crops to make low-cost and low-carbon energy. This electrical energy can be turned into hydrogen (H2) by electrolytically splitting water. The hydrogen can then be added to the syngas to make a lot more fuel and profits.

Nuclear power sources can also be used to make more fuel per ton of biomass.
