Biomass is any organic material recently produced by plants, animals, and even algae. Our approach extracts the energy and carbon from this biomass along with recycling the nutrients back to the soil.
We’re looking for any dry biomass whose decomposition is presently emitting CO2 into the environment. Corn is king and so our primary farm partnership plan is focused on harvesting corn stover from the corn-soy rotation. Other attractive crop residues include wheat and rice straw. Do you have wood-based byproducts or forest residues from your mill or factory that you would like to monetize for a greater profit margin? We can even process biomass with low energy densities, such as poultry litter.
